Photoshopping the images

Content Research

Early on in this project, I wanted to use the imagery from the Official NASA website.

Since the images already had a certain order telling the journey to the moon and back I didn’t spend much time thinking about how the story was going to unfold since I already had it laid out in front of me. I decided however to focus on the visual effects as well as the text itself and how it was going to be presented, as well as the intro.

This was the first sketch of the potential layout for the project. At this stage, I wasn’t sure how I would tackle how I would have the layout sorted.

In this sketch I began having more ideas about what sort of animations I would have in the project and how I was going to make it.

I felt like my idea about the astronauts could be different, but I realised that another classmate already had this idea so I decided to scrap it and go for something else entirely.

Ideas of the general layout in key moments of the design itself, it changed drastically during the making of the prototype.

Whenever the prototype was done I realised that I had forgotten a NAV bar so I began sketching one out. Because of the spiritual movement in the 60’s, I decided to go with the icons for the earth and moon, as well as more minimalistic icons to reflect the rise of Helvetica and other Sans Serif typefaces.
