The Parallax scroll effect is an effect where the background on a website and the content move at different speed which creates a 3D effect.
I wanted to use this effect on my project because, visually, it’s really capativating when done right.
Firewatch is a video game released early 2016, and the developers used a parallax scroll effect on the website for the game, which is captivating to say at least. To me it shows what you can expect from the game, and also how large a forest is that you will be in.
This website is about a Saarloos Wolfdog named Raven. The websites take your through the website with the helps of visual effects that make it more interesting, telling the story about the dog Raven, what his personality is like, his likes and dislikes etc. There isn’t a lot of animations present, but the subtle movement of text and images makes the website very visually appealing and keeps you interested throughout.

The website itself is built with quite a modern touch with excellent parallax scrolling effect.
While this website is beautiful with it’s visual effect it’s not quite what I was looking for but it had interest touches to it which I might consider (Rotating objects when you scroll) to give the user an indication that the website is working as intended.
