Freelancing is a type of self-employment. Instead of being employed by a company, freelancers tend to work a self-employed, delivering their services on a contract or project basis.
So how does a freelancer work?
Whenever there is a customer, you give them a quote/proposal. Which will include the following:
A few things that are important to know though, is that in point number 3. Scope of work, you might have to take on all the roles.
That would include you being the researcher, the designer, writer strategist and manager, so you’re pretty much on your own. Which could be draining at time, because there are several issues you can run into, such as issues with clients, recieve a complain or face a non-payment. And because you’re the only one employed, you have to deal with it yourself.
As a Freelancer, you also have to manage your own budget, and since you’re working by yourself for clients, time is money, that means, you’re paid hourly for the work. But this also means that you have to pay your own taxes, and money won’t be continuous, like it would be if you were to work for a company.
Since time is money for the client as well, they can either chose a cheap and fast product, but then they’re getting a cheap and fast product, but it could be cheap and good, but that means more time.
